There are three main principles to which we do our very best to maintain:
Wherever possible we stock products that are made in the UK. Luckily, most of the very best art materials in the world are made in the UK, so this does not make this task too difficult! Winsor & Newton, Daler Rowney, ProArte (Brushes), Unison Soft Pastels and Derwent Fine Art Pencils are all made and distributed from the UK. This does help us greatly in keeping our carbon footprint extremely low.
Secondly, very simply, we try to source recycled paper products where possible. However at the very least we will ensure that all wood based products from sustainable forestation sources.
We also ensure that the products we stock are from ethical and environmentally sound sources. We can provide details on the policies by which our suppliers source and manufacture their raw materials, such as natural hairs for brushes, wood for frames, papers and raw pigments etc. If you have any specific concerns about any of our products please do contact us and we will happily provide further information.
